Re: Chapter 2 Part 1: New Adventures
Getting a gauge for how much daylight is left it is determined that you have at least 6 more hours of daylight before the darkness of night falls.

Botang say's" Mis gosen ita hos"
Translation: Botang says 's "Mi's goes in the house".
(The half-ogre carefully looks the door opening and recollects an old memory from before, where he was dropped into a cage with 4 others with very little room to maneuver and fight, the dreaded black death "Konaggtekhcha" they were pitted against and only he survived that encounter)
Translation: "Konaggtekhcha" {Displacer Beast}

Brother Canis follows along the appropriate side. He pockets a candle or two for later. He examines one of the lanterns to see if it is still in working order and lights it.

Re: Chapter 2 Part 1: New Adventures
The lanterns appear to be in working order however they are dry and would require oil. Being inside over the years has not rusted the metal of the lanterns merely just tarnished over the years.ravenn4544 wrote:Brother Canis follows along the appropriate side. Bandir Spellbringer - F1/M2 - Spell Armour & Ring +1: AC 5 (Armor 10 hp) - Bandir HP: 11 /11:
Bandir noticed Brother Canis' evaluation of the lanter states,"Here brother I have some spare oil. It's a pint or oil I think. I have a couple more if necessary. IF there are undead in here we want as much light as possible. The undead don't care much for the sun so if they're here once the sun goes down they might come out. That's why I suggest staying outside with the wagon a ways from the mansion. Besid fighting in close quarters is tough with a big group. If we can find what we need quickly in here even better. We can just be on our way my friends. Let's be quick shall we?"

Re: Chapter 2 Part 1: New Adventures
Rukiel the Fickle decides that splitting the group and going his own way is not the best of ideas. With speak of the undead floating about the group, the idea of relying on just his quick wit and a quarrel does not bode well, even for someone so confident in his own ability. His face contorting to that of a slight grimace, Rukiel picks up the rear of one of the groups, crossbow already loaded, and his club within reach. Though he puts on the outward appearance of enthusiasm, deep down, the man is dying of boredom.
Just to help kill the time, while the others look for secrets and hidden enemies, Rukiel will take a gander at the paintings on the wall. If there are any attractive young woman gracing said walls, you know where his attention will be.

Brother Canis "Thank you good sir! That is just what we need for this dark and dusty domain!" Filling the lantern with the oil offered, Canis takes flint and steel to lighting the lantern.

Re: Chapter 2 Part 1: New Adventures
Not unless you want to be or have attacked anything even an inanimate object would suffice. Heck you could even walk up to one of the party members and flick their ear if you want to be visible again.Rex wrote:Is Hantae visible yet?

Re: Chapter 2 Part 1: New Adventures
Inside the Mansion:
The group checks the main entry and takes at least one lantern fills it with oil and shines some light on the dark interior of the place. Some take the time to memorize the faces of the people in the pictures in the event they see their spirits later on. Hantae remains invisible and alters the group where and what she is doing. Everyone readies to move on to the first room on the left. The door is not trapped and is not locked though the years have made the door, door frame or floor warp the door opens into what appears to be what would have been a receiving room when the mansion was being used and lived in. The room contains dusty cobweb caked furniture what looks to have been a small fireplace to warm the guests as they were being received by the hosts back in its time, a dust and cobweb covered couch and bookshelf with a couple tables to set food or drink upon. There are two windows in the room with heavy curtains drawn closed, there is a feast dumbwaiter antechamber directly to the right as you enter the room. So far the only life in the room other than the group is the spiders seen crawling around or waiting for prey in their webs.

Hantae
Search the room, including the antechamber and dumbwaiter. Try to keep an eye for the others so I don't get stepped on.

Bandir Spellbringer - F1/M2 - Spell Armour & Ring +1: AC 5 (Armor 10 hp) - Bandir HP: 11 /11:
Bandir decides to go back out to the other room and see if the big guy will help him take down the paintings and stack them to the side of the front door,“Hey .......Uh big guy Botang. Care to help me take down the paintings and put by the main door while they search that room?”
Assuming he helps or If I can get them down myself Bandir gets all them he can. If it's doable he keeps them in the frames if it would be better he checks the backs and cuts out just the painting and rolls them up for easy handling. IF the frame looks worth keeping or might be family oriented he just grabs them as is at puts them near the door.

"I didn't find anything unusual. The dumbwaiter goes both up and down, looks operational but wouldn't trust it to support much weight, looks in poor condition."
