DM - do you want to split the money between the party? I am not sure if any of the stuff I listed was not available to split money wise or magic item wise. I am just trying to resolve this before we move to the 2nd chapter.

pretty much this is all you have from this recent adventure. All of the other items listed were sold and the gold was used for purchasing the silver +1 weapons that most everyone had.
From the Necromancer is found on his person
1 Wand (identified) Wand of Ray of Enfeeblement remaining charges 1/6 cannot be recharged
2 daggers (not magical)
1 Ring (regular looking metal band) (Identified) Ring of Protection +1
1 Potion (looks similar to a regular healing potion) (identified) Healing potion (regular)
3 smoke bombs (explains how he was vanishing in a puff of smoke)

Near where the Necromancer was defeated is also found
1 Staff with a skull atop it (Identified) Staff of Undead Control (Radiates evil)
Though there were also some books in the lab that folks grabbed unfortunately the deep gnome took a lot with him as he slipped out of town and off to relocate his underdark homeland. Also anything Arthur had on him can go to the group.

I don't think there is a need to say it like that  Yeah, I forgot to say that the deep gnome left all of his new possessions with the group, sorry. I'd feel uncomfortable though if you used that to punish the group in any way.

If it helps the group any, the deep gnome would probably have left the stuff behind if asked. He really didn't intend on using anything else after that whole wraith transformation debacle from earlier. ;)

In that event then...

The group found a sack with a bunch of potions in them and some books no note so i guess they assumed it was from the gnome?

Bandir takes the rest of the stuff from the necromancer and Arthurs stuff Bandir puts the ring of protection on and stores the rest in his backpack to hand out at some point. He also destroys the Evil Staff with the party members that are going forward before the new ones arrive.

Destroying the evil staff has a very powerful outcome. The staff is broken and burned as it breaks and burns spirits and magic trapped within it escape causing the most amazing sight anyone has seen. The energy released knocks everyone on their butts from the shock wave of the magic being released from the staff. The wisps of spirits that area released into the sky is a sight to behold it feels as if some evil has left the realm and the spirits are going to rest in peace finally.
