I'm getting mixed messages with the group's actions. Are we killing the dark one, or just subduing him?

Thats ok Arthur might have a mad Star Wars knock off surprise coming.

At this point it's mostly Mathias that wants to capture the "Dark One" are there any other actions to try and stop the death or are you all just going to kill him and remain trapped since you don't know how to deactivate the bars preventing you from leaving the way you entered the place?

Arthur seriously wanted to kill this foul thing. If given pause by his comrades he holds his blade and says, "Strip him and search him take all his stuff. He can either die or tell us how to get out of here and if there's any treasure he wrongfully took from the villages."
