Rhaegeff gives Tella his last cure light wounds ([1d8] = 3). She gets the impression he dotes over her a bit longer than necessary - still keeping that torch lit :) The two of you then head over to see what has been found in greater detail. Tella notices that a few of the letters on the folding table are actually written in common! Also, there is a well of really good quality ink, and fine quality quills, on the table along with a very small book, that you didn't see from a distance.

Ganon inspects the large chest, but beyond the glyphs upon the side, there doesn't seem to be anything out of place. He then inspects the smaller chest. He is unable to figure anything out while it is plunked down in the larger chest, so he gingerly takes it out. The smaller chest is locked, but again doesn't appear to have any traps that Ganon can see?

*let me know how you will deal with the chest, it is about 20lbs , so you could also tuck it under an arm and take it whole if needed*

Also, if you guys want to search anything else, or investigate any other areas, just let me know.

Ganon:

Ganon inserts his lockpick into the keyhole of the smaller chest and feels around for the release. He squints his eyes almost to the point of them shutting, letting his sense of touch be his guide. "Finally the reason for coming down here, treasure."

Tella - Elf Mage

Tella will take a closer look at the letters and small book to see if she can read them. She will take the ink and quills, she will sell them later and add the amount to the party take.

"Glad to see everyone made it. I saw the caster and knew I had to stop it. Clangeddin in his power lead me to this battle and our acquaintance. I give thanks to the Father of Battle, but I require rest. Let us head back with everything of import if anyone knows the way."

With that Thorax will begin gathering up anything that looks valuable.

Roseheart pokes around at the small book. He'll examine it visually for any thing magically tricksy then open the cover.

Glimble too is interested in the book and the letters as well. First he goes over to peak at the book then he goes to see the letters Tella has located.

Ganon slides his lockpicks into the keyhole, and within a few minutes has the lock open. It was a good lock, but you were able to get it...

You open the small chest to find an extremely organized pile of loot, each group of gem and coin is sleeved in a silk bag and there are also small items in one of the bags:
-1 bag with 200pp
-1 bag with 150gp
-1 bag with pearls
-1 bag with moonstones
-1 bag with bloodstones
-1 bag with a small glass flask, two diamond earrings, and a fine silk scarf of cobalt blue

Meanwhile, Glimble, Tella, and Roseheart search the papers over, it seems to be a pile of correspondence from an unidentified slaver. He seems to control humanoid monsters, and he was selling people to the drow, he mentioned several times that he was happy with the payments they've offered, and that he would have more "slaves" forthcoming. He always signs the notes with "H". They script is fine and spidery with no smudges or blemishes, an expert and practiced hand wrote these notes...

The small book, appears to be a coded ledger, also written in parts in drow elvish..

Do you guys want to search the corpses of the slain drow?

Once the treasure has been cleared out of it, Vek will get to work damaging, dismantling and desecrating the sacrificial spider altar of the Drow.

Ganon:

Kneeling in front of the small chest as if it was an alter, Ganon silent and wide-eyed loses himself in the sparkle of gems and brightly colored precious metals. With each bag that is opened the grin on Ganon's face grows bigger and bigger until it can no longer get any wider. All other noises or conversations descend into white noise as the only sound present to Ganon is the sweet chime of coin on coin as each piece falls back into it's pouch like a waterfall of metal from the heaping glittering pile in his hand. A tear wells up in his eye and rolls down his face. Is it a tear of joy or the lack of blinking?

Tella - Elf Mage

Tella nabs the letters and book in hopes that some of her friends from the mages guild will be able to make better sense of them. Tella will be sure and search any Drow Mages for loot.

A group of you help Vek taking down the altar, it is made of lightweight black metal. Bolts are used to hold the various pieces together. Thorax and Vek agree that the head is the key element, it caught the blood and dripped it into the fire. It has embedded gems that look like spider eyes, some kind of birefringent material with facet upon facet. You guys can't destroy it here in the dungeon, but you could drag it back to Waterdeep and melt it down... Otherwise you could scatter the pieces around the dungeon and hope they are not reclaimed.

More of you begin searching the drow, all of the drow warriors have 1-2 bladed weapons ( mostly short and long swords, a few sabers). The weapons are made from strange metal and are both razor sharp, and ultralight. The drow warriors also wear an ultra-fine chain mail, which makes almost no sound when moved. About half of them have hand-crossbows which fire small bolts, all of the bolts appear poisoned (those might be illegal back in Waterdeep).

The drow priestess was wearing little but had a platinum ring, and the drow wizard had a black spell book, and his dark cloak is made of fine fabric of unknown material. He had a pouch and inside is one bean. It looks just like the beans that turned into giant spiders!

*Let me know if you guys take any of the weapons or mail, you can't carry them all without figuring out a litter or something.*

Glimble takes the bean, platnium ring and one of the hand crossbows along with some of the bolts for it "This might be a bit easier to use than the orcs crossbow." he proclaims while holding the hand crossbow. "Not sure I'd want to touch that vile spellbook the drow had. Evil magic is not an interest to me." he says with clear disgust, then he thinks about the cloak until he realizes he'd have to modify it to work for a being of his statue "All the armor and cloaks are far too large for me but it may be useful to gannon or roseheart."

Vek smiled. "Thanks, Roseheart," he said.

Vek wondered if this new party had a fair process for distribution of magic loot.

He skeptically swung one of the Drow long swords in the air, appraising its craftsmanship against his own magic sword.

After that, he said to Rhaegeff, "Have you any healing magic left within you, friend?"

Thorax examined the lstrange Drow metal. Would it be useful to bring back? Could he use it in his forge? What other properties did it possess? It would be fitting to take their power and use it against them. Knowledge, Armorer/Stonecraft [1d20] = 2
As for the bulk of the loot Thorax examined the inscriptions that referred to movement. Could he get this thing to carry their stuff? Spellcraft [1d20] = 9
