2-Down the well, into UnderMountain (first trip)
Re: 2-Down the well, into UnderMountain (first trip)
If Thorax has a steady hold on him, Cormack will ask, "Trevor, where are the dwarves? Where are your men?"

Tella - Elf Mage 13/14
I know his story is odd as goblin perfume but he did not seem to be an easily shaken fellow. Tella will get away from the door Trevor just came through.

Glimble "True enough he did not appear shaken by the likes of us. Not that we are all that scary looking. But a dragon would be a different story."

Re: 2-Down the well, into UnderMountain (first trip)
Thorax, you are definitely strong enough to hold him, but he is going to try and dodge you, and he was at a full-out run, so make a successful attack to grab him!
His eyes are open wide and he has a look of pure fear on his face, so even if he didn't see a real dragon, he definitely saw something horrible.

Re: 2-Down the well, into UnderMountain (first trip)
As Thorax tries to grab at Trevor, the man leaps aside with primal instinct and runs from the room, leaving out the door you originally entered through, running up toward where the white stone block was. He cries out, "Flee! Run! You must believe meeeeee....." and will be out of sight in moments if you don't run behind him.
***Group consensus, do you run after the crazed man, or continue on your path and assume he has gone mad? You don't have much time if you want to follow him.****

I say we continue on the path and assume he is mad or effected by a Fear trap of some sort.

Glimble "At either rate I'd like to not find out what is through here at the moment. If you wanted information from the man we best follow him."

I'm with Thorax... any dragon that could fit down here is probably looking for its mommy. It seems more likely that he was ensorceled somehow. As such he might not be the best guide. Muriel watches the retreating Trevor as he runs off at full speed.

Glimble "Granted it could have been illusionary or even a summoned monster by a mage perhaps."

Tella - Mage 13/14
Aye, could be.... I wonder where his retainers are... if we go let's take it slow. I'd say it can't get much more dangerous than it already has been but then I would be proven wrong. She will say with a smile and wink.

Muriel shakes her head. Tella, you know things can always get worse. Let me just have a look, and if I come back hollering dragons then we'll have a better picture of what's going on.

Glimble "I say let the one that is good at stealth do her job. Rushing off brazenly to our deaths does nobody any good. We can move up slower and let Muriel do her thing."

Re: 2-Down the well, into UnderMountain (first trip)
Muriel slips forward into the hallway like a shadow. She only gets 20-30 feet down the sloping corridor and then she sees a group of orcs running forward toward her. She sees at least a dozen, but there could be many more.
Their faces are painted red with paint or blood, and they are all carrying torches and wearing scraps of red cloth and painted armor. From behind them in the hallway is a growing orange light. It is coming up the corridor quickly and erasing all shadows, even you folks back in the room start to see a dim orange light growing brighter every second, and then you hear the sound of galloping nail-shod boots on the stone corridor! An orc war band is on the way, and they bring fire with them...

Glimble "Do any of the mages cast fire spells? A good old fireball can take their ranks down a bit you know."

Muriel has both blades out. That's a convincing illusion if it is one, she mutters. Sorry Glimble, never learned any fire spells. Do you know any?

Tella - Elf Mage 13/14
As soon as Muriel is clear o the doorway Tella will cast flaming sphere and drive it down/into the hallway. If the party starts to retreat she'll be fast at their heels.
OCC: It's not fireball but we also don't have any 5th level mages in the party.

Re: 2-Down the well, into UnderMountain (first trip)
Glimble "I'm a cleric of Gond we don't play with fire spells. But we do dabble with explosive things like black powder weapons." he finishes the statement by taking out his "boomstick" and preparing to use it on the first orc he sees.
