Glimble looks around, checking for any moving foes while reloading using the speed loader.

Roseheart and Glimble are closer to the entangle zone, and to the orcs. There were a group of melted things converging on Roseheart, but all of them may have been killed by his lightning bolt. You don't see any living ones right now, they may all be dead. You guys are roughly 1 round of running to the rest of the group. There may also be some living orcs, but the fires have temporarily made it hard to tell.

Meanwhile, Vek, Tella, Garl, and Enoka are all pretty close together and can interact freely. Tella and Enoka are right next to the chest, and Vek and Garl are near the corpse of the oily gargoyle.

Garl and Vek don't presently see any enemies, but Garl caught a glimpse of another gargoyle moving fast through the trees.

Tella - Elf Mage

Tella still scans around looking for magic missile fodder.

Glimble finishes his reload and stands guard if any of the burning orcs move he'll be ready.

Tantos Vek, failed paladin:

Vek doesn't think the last oil demon will bear information. If nothing else alive is immediately found, the swordsman croaks: "All right. The Fatman knows where we are. Let's make for the city.
"We need to get this treasure examined. It's possible he's tracking us through one of its gems."

Round 4 - Fight in the Forest

Gimble and Roseheart are looking about for more of those melted things, when suddenly Glimble spots the oily gargoyle. It stops just long enough to fire another ball of flame up directly at Roseheart (Roseheart - roll a quick save vs spell to leap out of the way!, Gimble if you roll a successful DEX check you can fire at the gargoyle while it was still).

Meanwhile, in the clearing around Vek, Enoka, Tella, and Garl, everything seems still for the moment. Then Enoka notices out of the corner of her eye that the chest shifted slightly! Almost like it was in two places at the same time? There was almost no other effect...

I didn't think i was near Roseheart I thought I was guarding the chest. I feel like a laggy video game where i am rubberbanding between where I want to be and somewhere else

Tella - Elf Mage

Tella grabs her head with both hands for a moment then goes wide eyed. There is a presence here that is quite powerful, it just tried to take my mind. We need to get out of here now with or without the damn chest. I am not sure I can fight that off again...

Roseheart

Save vs. Spells(10)[1d20] = 10

If he is able too, he will cast an acid arrow at the gargoyle thing.

Vek grabs the chest and growls, "All right. Let's go." He moves with haste in the direction of the city.

Round 5 - Fight in the Forest

Smoke and fire billow up from around you as Vek pushes into the clearing where Enoka and Tella encircle the open chest. Tella goes cross eyed, then wide eyed, and then tells Vek about the powerful presence here that just attacked her mind. Needing no other incentive Vek stashes his shield, and then tries to grab the chest to hit the road. His arm slides right through! The illusion collapses as Vek's armored hand grasps thin air.

Meanwhile, Garl slides deeper into the shade of the tree, waiting for anything to come near, and reaching his senses out across the battlefield - listening for anything that might alert him to danger.

Scrabbling out of the way, Roseheart nearly falls to the earth as he dodges a fireball. Grim determination crosses his face, and he returns fire, hurling forth an acid missile with a hasty incantation. The green bolt takes the creature in the face as it bounds forward to attack! Gimble struggled to try and whirl to fire at the creature, but had to move out of the way of the fire as well, and wasn't able to. The beast is out of your direct line of sight, for now.

Tantos Vek, failed paladin:

"The invisible scout has the chest!" Vek snarls, followed by a sizzling oath. It's one of their few remaining links to the Fatman. But not the only one.

Enraged, Vek charges the last oil demon standing. Wanting to interrogate it, he'll do his best to not kill it. He uses the flat of his iron blade to subdue it.

Initiative: [1d10] = 10
Vek: +3 Long Sword: To Hit: [1d20+8] = 11+8 = 19 . Damage: S/M: [1d8+9] = 8+9 = 17 , L: [1d12+9] = 7+9 = 16 Macro doesn't include bonus to hit for "charging."

Glimble trying to act quickly casts Dispel Magic on the area around the chest.

Glimble, since things are happening fairly disjointedly, roll a quick initiative for your spell. Are you aiming for the center of the dispel effect directly where the chest was? You don't see any active magic at that location right now...

Hi,
If Glimble's spell reveals an invisible culprit before Vek moves, Vek will attack the culprit instead of the oil demon, if that is possible and permitted.

Thanks.

well since I was guarding the chest if the chest is moving I was going to target it on the moving chest that was just announced is being taken. Otherwise I would have no idea where to target an invisible creature to dispel it's invisibility. Essentially i am taking a blind faith shot trying to make the invisible visible again.

Is roseheart close enough to the chest to cast a spell at the invisible thing?
