Vek grimly glowers and stews, watching for anyone taking too much interest in Tella and Roseheart.

Tella - Elf Mage

While finalizing the transaction for the book she will ask: Not sure if this is the right venue to ask in but are any of the houses employing mages for anything?

Glible at clockwork wonders:

The two gnomes put their heads together for a while, but anything and everything they an think of to reduce the noise of the arquebus involves magic, their best idea is a silence spell? Perhaps a silence spell could be placed on a bullet and then fired at an opponent? It would conceal the blast, and then silence the enemy.

Tella, a red faced huffing man eyes Tella and says wizards can always find work down here. Maybe not as easily as competent blades, but you could drop by by Bindles Blade an Inn near where the Trade Way meets up with the Heart. Look for a man named Sarahin.

Round 2 - Forrest in the Alley

Forrest surprises his foes with the sudden fury of his attack and scores a mean hit on clubby right away! He turns away the blow with his club, but you still cut him good along the arm. Clubby tries a counter attack but you keep him busy with a series of fients and thrusts which have him backing up.

Meanwhile, baggy takes a swing at you with those knives, however, he fails to connect and then drops one of his long knives on the cobble street.

Short sword guy holds back for now...

Forrest

"Always press the fight on the big one first, Forrest," That is what Lieutenant Dan always told him back in his mercenary days when he was training. He wonders for a moment where Lt. Dan is right now. The he remembers that Lt. Dan also always told him to not get distracted. Lt. Dan was a smart man.

Glimble "Grand idea dunno why I haven't tried that. Say so how long do you need to create the speed loaders, hope you don't mind thats what I'm going to call them."

Tella - Elf Mage

Thank you for the tip, a girl needs to find respectable work somewhere.... Tella will say to the red faced man. Nabbing the book and stashing it in her fireproof book bag she will take leave of the shop with Vek and Roseheart.

Roseheart, we can copy the spells off later and sell the book to recoup our costs... I think we should return to the others, once Glimble gets enough of the mechanism shop, with this nugget of information. Perhaps one or more of us might be able to find employment with the Fatmans house. Thoughts?

OCC: Spell book documented under Tella's inventory.

The gnomes are already working on rolling a piece of silvery metal flat. Oh I think we can get these to you in a couple of hours sir Glimble! This will be a fun problem, tight tolerances on them! Don't want it to jam everything up and cause your firearm to backfire!

Glimble "That would be usefull if i were running up and handing the weapon to a foe have the thing backfire on them. Surely a crud joke but in a battle it could work though surely a crazy tactic. Sorry I tend to do that from time to time. If it is alright I'd like to examine the clockwork pets you have in the shop."

Hey guys, I'm having a busy time at work - it hasn't been leaving me enough time to post. Thought it was going to let back up quicker. I'm going to have to keep this game paused at least for another week. Ilk keep trying to check in with status updates ;)

Aye, never to early for a drink...
At the tavern, the disfigured fighter drank deep. His mood darkened. After some time, his cracked voice croaked, "Roseheart, Tella, seeing this city of pure evil, I've been thinking...

"I believe I've had it wrong all along. I've wanted to avenge myself upon my former sect. Or rejoin with them. But I was woefully mistaken. And my former brethren were right. Right to do this to me,"
he said as he touched his ruined face.

"They saw the life of a paladin was never for me. They knew it. I have too much hate in my heart. Too much anger. I am never more at home than I am in battle. Killing comes too easily to me. They saw it. And they sent me on this road... to fight evil, by embracing its methods. They created a monster... a devil, in the service of angels.

"...I realize it now... at long last. And... that they were right to do so."
