"What's going on out there?" Telkis says down the ladder, unable to retreat with the others behind him. "What's this about a mirror?" he asks, fearing the worst.

Kiri will step forward five feet and towards the left wall, hoping the wind will be less there than in the center. He glances about the figure, looking for any inscriptions he might decipher with his helm that would give a clue to who or what this is...

This coincides perfectly with my own work responsibilities ramping up, so it all works out.

Kiri is mainly only good for utility when it comes to magic, but he hilariously failed to learn any light related spells, or even light adjacent ones when he made his "chance to learn spell" rolls. It was not for lack of trying or desire...

If no one else insists on going first, Telkis with shimmy up the ladder to see what can be found at the top, feeling this secret way may offer them some advantage, perhaps the element of surprise against whatever force manipulates this dream space.
