Re: IC I

Atticus "Let's shine some light in there for a better look before we think of entering, there may be more traps." The light reveals a small chamber, twenty feet to a side. The secret door is in the northwestern corner of the room. In the eastern corner of the southern wall is a door. Ther...

Re: IC I

Brigand “…Sano had it in her pocket when you . . . distracted her." Since no one else remembered, Dirk searched the pockets of the crushed thief for the map. It's . . . there. A sheet of vellum, now absolutely saturated with blood and viscera. It'll need a good washing -- or perhaps it would b...

Re: Character creation questions

Almost done with my character. Sully, can you look it over when you get a chance and let me know if there's anything I need to adjust? There's a couple of things I need to add, but it's mostly done.

Re: IC I

Tiarsus pushes on the odd square, and the concealed door to the left of the false door pivots inwards with a groan and the squeal of un-oiled hinges, revealing a smaller chamber beyond, shrouded in shadow and dust.

Re: IC I

Tiarsus Tiarsus gives the door a once-over to see if there are any obvious traps. It does not appear to be trapped, and Tiarsus discovers what is likely the mechanism to open the door; a square of flooring, to the left of the secret door, neatly outlined with puddled blood from the squashed brigand.

Re: IC I

Among the inferior weaponry of the dead, Dirk looked for a bow or any missile weapons to replace his rocks. “ Can you tell if a botched lock picking attempt triggered the trap, or if the thief failed to spot the trap before the lock pick was attempted?” Dirk asked. Sorry, I missed this Both the dea...

Tiarsus will help search for other secret doors.
Tiarsus's sharp eyes soon pick out what before remained hidden; the outline of a concealed door to the left in the alcove with the trapped door.

Re: IC I

So, uh, Easirn, were you trying to pick a lock here? Did anyone else in your group have any, you know, lock-picking experience? Easirn "Well, Sano said she could, and Hildan there", he motions towards the body on the floor -- "was a dab hand with a set of picks, but, you know, luck o...

Careful not to touch anything, Atticus moves forward and examines the spot the thief was working on before he got squashed.
It looks, to his eyes, to be a pretty standard lock. There's a bent set of lockpicks on the floor in front of the door.

Re: IC I

Atticus Atticus wonders if they have anything to cut or jam the chains to prevent the block from rising. If the chains were jammed the mechanism might break when it ties to reset. He also considers if there would be any chance of moving the block, or if it looks way too heavy. The block is massive,...

Re: IC I

Atticus heads over to examine the trap and the surrounding area (without touching anything), thinking it might be useful to do when in it's 'activated' position. It's hard to tell. The stone plug effectively obscures the door behind it. There's not quite enough room on either side to squeeze past, ...
