Re: Scroll 1 - The Master Craftsman's Tea Vessel
Fuma's climbing roll failed. Actually I had it wrong, per the rules the ability is Deftness/2. In Fuma's case 20 / 2 = 10. (Minoru has the same numbers. His ninjutsu succeeded, so he was silent. We need Minoru's climbing roll, and a ninjutsu roll, if he wants to do it silently. Perching on a wall w...

Re: Paladin - Have Gun, Will Travel
The startled and bloodied man turns his horse's head and yells, his voice a little slurred, Run, y'all! Trouble-- bad! Paladin's third rifle report sounds of the screech of tons of steel sliding and scrapping over steel. He sees the man's left arm jerk back as he spurs his horse to a gallop, headed ...

Re: Chapter 25: Tooth and Claw
Torix is twice in the Kambujan's debt, for arrows and now sorcery. He accepts the ancient spear from Kiri and nods his thanks and respect. He eats for the day, and his pouch of dried meat and berries is now completely empty. Bow in hand at the fore of the line of travelers, he moves lightly, scanni...

Before today's rolls, the group had traveled 4 miles from Burnet-- slow going. Would need 7 more Tracking rolls to take us to half an hou...

Ezekiel inspects the stacked buffalo hides. He and Charlie know that an average hide will sell for $2, and a better one will bring up to $2.25 to $2.50. The sides have been brain tanned, but they're not completely dry. Ezekiel estimates that they weigh around 20 lbs. each. Draping two of the best of...

Re: Paladin - Have Gun, Will Travel
Sorry for the delay, Grog. Currently I need to be more precise and accurate in this game than in the other ones I'm GMing. The distances you stated are correct. Paladin can see the men in the center (Robber 1) and on the right (2) And they have line of sight (LOS) o him. There's no LOS between him ...

We can retcon Fuma borrowing some poisoned dart if you'd like. The nakama is a tight, trained team who grew up together. When they discussed taking the dog out with poison, they wouldn't have missed that Fuma doesn't have any poison darts. Actually, I jumped the gun trying get up momentum, so we ha...

Re: Chapter 4: Strange Pursuit
The watch order is posted in OOC and I've saved a copy for easy reference later. Please do do Observation rolls as you set watches. But for tonight.... The Moon is gibbous and waning to its last quarter in a sky that is clear except for a few high clouds. Through the night, as four of the riders sl...

Re: Chapter 4: Strange Pursuit
FYI, this time of year in the area daylight is 6:30 AM to 8:30 PM. Sunrise and sunset twilight is 6:00 - 6:30 AM and 8:30 - 9:30 PM. So complete night is 9:30 PM - 6:00 AM. So 8.5 hrs, and five characters (including Gideon). If five watches, 1.7 hours each. Characters need to get a minimum of 7 hou...
