How about we ask it where the remains of the Red Lion of Aerik are?

Naught comes to my mind. Maybe something will present itself if we put a light where the sun should be. I'll try using the skull...

I'm 11 & 6, so not good either.
Can we tell what the baubles are made of? Any runes or letters on them?

Re: Barrowmaze: Repatriating the Red Lion of Aerik

Fydmar Gives Wrathbone a nod, glad to see he is back to full fitness. Despite the invite, he has no intention of touching the obelisk. Is everyone else in relatively good shape? If so, perhaps we should continue a little further before returning. Would hate to be one room away... That's his vote, bu...

Wait a moment, friends (searches through pack). Wrathbone, here, drink this (hands him healing potion).

Fydmar
After helping Wrathbonee search the coffer. I agree Durgo. We can't let ourselves be whittled down like sticks. What are the omens Brother? Other thoughts cousins & friends?
Search rolls if needed: Dwarf stonework check [1d100]=20
secret doors [1d6]=4

Re: Barrowmaze: Repatriating the Red Lion of Aerik

Fydmar
Will mutter his prayer to Moridin & hurl the axe. Can't let this fiend escape to hound us again.
Throw Greybeards axe with Moridin prayer [1d20+5]=9+5=14; damage [1d6]=6 oh well.
Don't remember an easter egg. Did I miss something?

Re: Barrowmaze: Repatriating the Red Lion of Aerik

Fydmar Help, he's got Wrathbone! Not wanting to possibly hit his friend if he hurls the axe, he sticks with dual wielding against the undead fiend, hoping he can get its attention away from finishing off Wrathbone. Come on ya fiend! Try me, I'm tastier! Attacks w/sword & axe Greybeard's axe main...

Re: Barrowmaze: Repatriating the Red Lion of Aerik

Fydmar If there is a flask of oil in the adventuring supplies of the priest, he will take one. Then he'll examine the iron statue to see if it is mechanical in any way or if it seems as it if would move or pivot. Hmm, dents and chips: vandalism, or was it moving or working or fighting in the past......

Re: Barrowmaze: Repatriating the Red Lion of Aerik

Fydmar What I meant was the room on the corner, but no worries, we'll get there later. I thought the obelisk room was more "north" anyway. He will aid Durgo in his search. rolls as needed: secret doors [1d6]=3 , Dwarf stonework check [1d100]=12 (as they talk more of the obelisk) I don't tr...

Re: Barrowmaze: Repatriating the Red Lion of Aerik

Fydmar Will keep his eye on Genaromes as he checks out the obelisk, just in case something unfortunate & unexpected occurs. How about we check the first room off the far southern hallway next and see if there seems to be space for another room in the in between area? That would give us some good...

Re: Barrowmaze: Repatriating the Red Lion of Aerik

Fydmar Durgo, I take what you mean is there must be another room, likely attaching to this one and the corridor on the other side? Or was it something else? Do we go further "west" or try the diagonal? I don't much like the look of this room myself. Perhaps the mage can figure something . ...

Re: Barrowmaze: Repatriating the Red Lion of Aerik

In response to Fydmar's offer, please acknowledge and adjust any sheets with gear and exchanges. On this note, Fydmar gave an item to Brother Symeon quite some time back, but I believe was acknowledged in PM. Just wanted to make sure that was communicated to the DM. The corridors are silent and your...

Re: Barrowmaze: Repatriating the Red Lion of Aerik

Fydmar I think Behlnus would be the best bet for the chain shirt. Wrathbone, perhaps Greybeard's axe would be good for you if you are comfortable with such a weapon. It is silvered and strikes true most often if thrown. It would make sense if we had another strong hand able to strike some of the fou...

Re: Barrowmaze: Repatriating the Red Lion of Aerik

Fydmar I volunteer to be the guinea pig on any items our wiser friends deem worth testing. Keep in mind we dwarves have innate resistances to magic, though, so nothing may happen even with a magical item. If ye want to proceed with this; first I will hand out my X-bow, Axe, and healing potions just ...

Re: Barrowmaze: Repatriating the Red Lion of Aerik

Fydmar Already looked at the glass skull & Fydmar figured it might help with the golem so he said we was going to take it. No one commented about that so I figured it happened. It would be nice to try to detect / divine the items and put some to use. I said as much when we found them but the par...

Re: Barrowmaze: Repatriating the Red Lion of Aerik

Fydmar Will set up his strips on the doors that go to places they haven't yet been, and the maiden door. I still say west but if you are worried about cultists at our back, I'll check east first. Before we get started, perhaps I ought to climb up the hole and secure another couple ropes...on differe...

Re: Barrowmaze: Repatriating the Red Lion of Aerik

Fydmar
Durgo, I like your idea of setting something in place to see if has been tampered with. Perhaps a bit of wax and tiny strip of parchment on the bottom of the portals?
Once everyone is ready, I can range ahead. Any quiet folk are welcome to join me of course.

Re: Barrowmaze: Repatriating the Red Lion of Aerik

Fydmar (once the crone is not within hearing range) If I recall correctly, when were in the northern area, Durgo got the feeling the remains lay to the west of our position. My vote would therefore move north, then take the western passage from the gargoyle room. The next best would be to brave the ...
