Re: 000 readying the Maize Star

Mark would like to discreetly work on his Forgery skills. You can only practice a skill you have at least level 0 in (which for PCs does include all weapons including Brawling). Frank Hmm... okay. I suppose I'll focus on my Computer skills. During character creation, I didn't either keep track of, ...

Re: 000 readying the Maize Star

I'm assuming this is all happening in the crew lounge? Mark was in the passenger lounge tidying up the galley during disembarkation (?). So, he's not privvy to these conversations. I'm actually not sure how long everyone needs to "stay secured" before they are free to move about the cabin...

Re: 000 readying the Maize Star

I can't recall if this is my own home-brew wish, or if it's supported in CT rules: can we upgrade a skill by studying during jumps? It takes a few weeks, but I thought I remember reading it was possible to up level some skills over time?

Re: 000 readying the Maize Star

Mark hears the all-call and picks up his tempo. Looks like I'm committed. He quickly stows the last of the things in the galley and crosses over to strap himself in to one of the lounge chairs. As he does, he sees a head poking out of one of the state rooms. "Better buckle down!" he calls ...

Sheesh, she's an elusive ship isn't she. Very hard to "picture" this ship.

I posted this question in one of the other threads about the ship... does anyone have an exterior image of what this trader looks like?

Re: Kicking off

"You're good with computers, eh?" Wen looks up when Mark mentions that, "That's something I never really learned much about. I can figure out where to fly the ship and fly it, and can work the sensors, but loading programs into the computer or writing them isn't something I can do. S...

Is there an image of the outside of our ship? What does it look like?

Re: Sidetrack conversation about ships

It took me a while to add my Bio to this document, but it's in there now. (This is also my first post in this thread... and I'm hypothesizing that a black dot will now appear on this discussion; indicating that I have participated in this discussion. And, the jury saaaaaays.... UPDATE: Bingo. Figure...

I absolutely hate Unseen Servant's forum icons. The animated gifs for READ posts... and the unclassified black dots... so annoying. What are the black dots for? I only see them on some of our group's topics. I've read everything, WHY THE BLACK DOTS!? WHAT DO THEY MEAN!?

Re: Game blurb, references, and setting notes

Perfect. Alright, I've added those to the Upper Deck Features list. Map should be relatively informative at this point. There are a couple single square bracket type shapes (e.g. in the fuel tanks) that I'm not sure what they are... ladders?

Re: Game blurb, references, and setting notes

Thanks, that's helpful... for identification. I'll update the DB link with a door key, if for no one else, for myself! Re: Game blurb, references, and setting notes

One interesting rework of the plan would be to swap the decks of the back half. I have no idea what the various door symbols mean... There could be ladders implied in there... I don't think we need to run a catwalk because, technically, the cargo bay helps provide a barrier between the crew and pas...

Re: Kicking off

Wen opens one door after another, each empty, then opens Mark's door and sees him sitting on the bunk with his duffel next to him. "Mark?" Wen looks surprised, "Are you just moving in?" Mark doesn’t register until he hears the captain’s voice, then he jumps. ”Yes Captain! I mean...

Re: Game blurb, references, and setting notes

I didn't like the low resolution and un-editable-ness of the Mazie Star ship document. So, I recreated it in Illustrator. Here's a Dropbox link:
