Gyb hopes to avoid serious questioning by Mrs Peppy, but is willing to vouch for "Monsters in bushes and many gnolls" if questioned. He hands over his javelins to Sabine slowly, trying to avoid eye contact with the angry wife.

Wes

Wes remains at the cave mouth for the moment. If there is something nasty lurking just beyond the bend, he reasons, there's no point in everyone standing close together to be attacked by it.

Maag

Gyb gives a small nod to the gnolls to let them know that they've been noticed.
