Re: Whispered Asides and Backroom Squabbles: OOC
Hey, I'm terribly sorry for not taking the time to come and check out the game for so long, it seems my schedule got the better of me. Maybe I'll try and get back into posting regularly when I have my diploma (which, hopefully, should be in a few months) but as for now, I'm going to have to drop out...

Re: Chapter 2: The Sinews of War
Vanis puts his hands in his pockets, trying to act nonchalently and closing in on the guard doors from the side. If things turn sour, he'll jump at them from behind and hack them into pieces.

Re: Chapter 2: The Sinews of War
Leave it and run!
That sounds reasonable, thinks Vanis. Actually, now that the idea sprung to mind, it seems a bit absurd to not run away properly.
And just like that, Vanis lets go of the cart and starts sprinting to safety.

First roll is a 4 so I'm keeping that.

Vanis is pushing and screaming. Like, slow, low tone screaming. "aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!"

Re: Whispered Asides and Backroom Squabbles: OOC
Hey, I'm back! Sorry I had a lot of stuff to deal with and completely forgot to come and check how things were going. I'm gonna add "answering on the board" on my schedule so I don't make anybody wait or anything.

Re: Chapter 2: The Sinews of War
Vanis leans on his shovel which he grips with calloused hands, a shaggy beard giving him an air of ruggedness and experience. I'm fine with looking at the floor in search of trapdoors all day, but I have to say, at some point I might find myself acquainted with all those bloody tiles if it goes on....

Re: Chapter 1: To seek a Great Perhaps
Vanis takes a look around camp and goes to find something useful to do: fetch gear for busy soldiers, polish wood, clean stuff, etc. He keeps an eye out for his buddies and mumbles about bad life decisions and their effect on one's physical and mental health.

Re: Chapter 1: To seek a Great Perhaps
Vanis stares intently at the coin, and says " Life is war. Since I've been here, I almost died by getting eviscerated by some kind of alien creature, munched by giant shit-caked babies, crushed by falling curtains and don't forget to mention the frequent risk of death by falling through the sk...

Vanis Huckle, Traumatized Sweet Maker " And please, take note: these are wounds... " he says, pointing at the party's wounded. " ...While these are fine body parts that need no fixing whatsoever. " he then adds, pointing at his own safe and sound body, and at his few unharmed co...

Re: Chapter 1: To seek a Great Perhaps
Vanis, half-sarcastic, half-freaked out, mumbles a bit louder that he would : "Well sure then, let's follow the human-sized toy soldier, what could go wrong?"

Re: What would you like to play/run? (Interest Catch-all)
I might try and run a short dungeoncrawl using OD&D/Delving Deeper soon, when I'm done with important stuff.

Re: Chapter 1: To seek a Great Perhaps
" T-This is a bit...Oh, my. Let me help. " Vanis whispers, realizing how bad it is for everyone. He tears bits of his shirt and looks for alcohol in his backpack to help desinfect wounds, and looks back to where the voice came every other minute, just in case. His expression is that of a w...

Re: Chapter 1: To seek a Great Perhaps
Vanis, being a man of reasonable disposition, takes a deep breath and gladly hears out his companion's suggestion, and starts to run as fast as he can, away from the booming voice which, to say the least, sounds to him like bad news.
I'm sorry I wasn't there for a while, christmas and all.

Re: Chapter 1: To seek a Great Perhaps
Thanks for the summaries, it helps :D Vanis , knowing that a dead party won't cover his back for long, decides to try and close in on the rats and help those who are still able (and willing). He stumbles in this general direction with crazed eyes and still almost out of breath. Ref : How much turns...

Re: Chapter 1: To seek a Great Perhaps
Jake coughs, his face wracked with pain as he forces his mangled leg to keep him moving. Vanis , whizzing and whirring in exhaustion from all this action, after making sure Jake is able, goes in a corner to catch a breather, and re-assess de situation. I'm more than a bit confused by all that's hap...

"Would it be of any use, now," thought Alice, "to speak to this mouse? Everything is so out-of-the-way down here, that I should think
very likely it can talk: at any rate, there's no harm in trying."

Re: Chapter 1: To seek a Great Perhaps
An Audience with Horrible Babies Jake and Horton are bleeding unchecked and will need medical attention. Vanis : Quick boy, let us get you out of here! He says, trying to drag Jake away, believing the older Horton to be dead already if not dying. If at all possible, he wishes to put himself then Ja...
