Re: [002] A Temple and a Tomb

OOC: Okay, you have four choices as to your next direction: north through the door with the key in the lock, south through the door that is locked but has no key in the lock, back out onto the dais and through the trap door there, or back out to the Nave and through the door in the Alcove you didn'...

Re: Character Creation

My Sage picks two languages. I am inspired by the existence of mousefolk (definitely something the inquisitive hobbit would befriend in the hills). Then Common and Undercommon will do for licit and illicit trade for tomes and knowledge. I would say "other languages things are written in" b...

Re: Chapter 1: The Black City

Sorry, didn't get here over the weekend. You guys are amazing - you did a lot! :) "I have been to the city, dear. It is not a place of the living. Nor is it a place of the dead. I felt... I do not know what I felt when I was there. But I am afraid of you entering it. There is something alive t...

Re: Lost

Ingram says, We should follow the river. It will lead to lower elevations, which means easier hunting. It will also eventually lead to civilization, so we can sort out where we are. Lharzin steps off the flat circle area with a shudder, goosebumps on her arms. "One way or another, I'm all for ...

Re: Artha Nominations

Yes to all! You guys are SO Awesome. I want to nominate Farouk for an Embodiment Persona - his flavorful dive into Middle East description has set the entire game so far. Per clarification in Discord, Nutesh's final first belief is/was - "The appearance of power is power itself" was the fi...

Re: Character Creation

Hellebore also has Medicine skill for mundane healing. (Eris, you'll need to clarify that like you did in Shadowdark - mundane healing in 5e is a Feat and we aren't using Feats and we aren't using stabilization/death saves).

Want those skills, eh? :) Okay, I'll approve it. Rogue 1, Wizard2 and from now on. Same with ateno's character, Fighter2, Wizard1 from now on. Oh, wait rogue 3 arcane trickster ! I've never had one of those in a game, sure do that! :) Thanks! I will do Rogue/Wizard/Wizard. ...I think the half-caste...

Re: Chapter 1: The Black City

So damn cool. I nominate Marullus for a Beliefs Fate point for the way he's interacted with the locals. It's not quite high enough for Embodiment just yet, but you're on the way! "The appearance of power is power itself" was the first lesson of Alagash. I will use the power of his name to...

"We left those ghost-guards sitting in their chairs, didn't we?" pipes up Willow. "That's stopped them this far."

Nutesh simply nods; all is good, then. The man's rage is only weakness before power. The bird quarks at the man as he leaves.

Re: OOC Chatter

As for multiclassing, again, I'm not dead set against it. It does make things a bit more complicated and we are going for Basic here, so I'm discouraging it.
Nah. If you're not for it I'll keep as is.

Re: Chapter 1: The Black City

Nutesh 's coldness takes no consideration for Mekertu's fears. The raven alights on his shoulder, its feathers smoking, as he also fixes the man with his imposing gaze. "The ways of the great wizards come with me," Nutesh says, describing some aspect of the ritual Mekertu has alluded to. ...

Before I shift more, checking the multiclass question. Can I do Rogue/Wizard/Wizard and Wizard from here out?

Re: [002] A Temple and a Tomb

Speaking quietly to the others when they have left the room, Willow says, "It's a good rule to never beleive a hobgoblin's word... glad there's a dead guy to tell us more." She smiles thinly. Naugrim also breaks his tight-lipped silence once out of earshot. "It is what comes from the ...

Likewise finding no insight on this strange mountain, Lharzin sleeps until dawn. She rises and begins to pull together and cook what she can for breakfast for them.

Scimitars are also 1d6, Finesse, and Light. 😀 but they weigh 3lbs each instead of 2lbs and cost 25gp instead of 10gp due to them being that much cooler looking. ;)

Lharzin succumbs to her fatigue, napping the whole first shift. (40 mins of sleep is enoughto wipe fatigue.) When she wakes, she settles back rather than rising, trying to reach the meditative state for her dreamwalking. It is important, this time, to walk the mountain. Not sure how many to roll? D...

Re: Character Creation

It's real easy. :) 5e is based on a strict action economy - each turn you get an Action, Bonus Action, Move, one free object interaction, and then one off-turn Reaction. Normally, attacking is an action. An off-hand weapon allows using the bonus action for a second attack, but the bonus damage from ...
