Re: Session 2b: Unlikely Allies

Actually... I wanted to thank everyone very much for playing in the game, but I am planning on bowing out for a good long while from Play-by-Post. I've had a few months of easy goings at work making this possible, but the spring and summer are going to be busy and I just can't afford to be distract...

Re: Session 2b: Unlikely Allies

REWARDS Did you take action in service of your character’s Belief during the session, even though it may not have been the wisest or easiest path to take? OR Did you play against your Belief in a dramatic fashion — if you made a decision in the game that’s counter to what you believe — and you let ...

Re: Session 2b: Unlikely Allies

Unfortunately in this game, finding anything useful in a dungeon is extremely difficult! Mark a failed Scavenger test and a new check. Garen bends down as low as he can, careful not to take in a mouthful of the foul black water, and swishes his hands around the floor surface looking for something go...

Make an Ob 7 Scavenger test (dungeon scavenged items, something useful).

Re: Session 2b: Unlikely Allies

Correct! It is a failed test, but Norgrim gets what he wants - a repaired pack for Rand.

Re: Session 2b: Unlikely Allies

Your first attempt, laughable. Your second attempt, heartfelt and sincere, but also heartbraking, like a little boy trying to impress his parents. But the fourth attempt! You finally showed that backpack who's boss! A dozen annoying pinpricks and frustrating failures gets you to complete the repairs...

Re: Session 2b: Unlikely Allies

I'll take Healer and Survivalist for helping, yeah totally. Not Criminal, though.

Re: Session 2b: Unlikely Allies

Whew!

Norgrim: Make an Ob 1 Peasant test (mending).
-1D for Injured, +1D for using the wineskin as supplies.

Re: Session 2b: Unlikely Allies

OK, I think we can agree that someone somewhere has some rudimentary sewing tools.

Does Norgrim mend Rand's pack? Does he use up the ripped wineskin?

Re: Session 2b: Unlikely Allies

Nothing in your pack per se. Do you look around the room for something? Maybe a fishhook?

Re: Session 2b: Unlikely Allies

Healers have supplies for healing, not necessarily for skills related to patching up clothes. But that does sound like a good case for helping.

Norgrim: Are you mending Rand's pack then? Cannibalizing the torn wineskin?

Re: Session 2b: Unlikely Allies

No half-slots! But you've got some good ideas about stabbing torches in 7 ft mounds of clay. If you end up with more non-loan stuff than you can carry, throw that crap away!

Re: Session 2b: Unlikely Allies

There isn't any more treasure, but "valuable" is different to different people. There's lots of rusty tools and other junk beneath the water, you can hear it clang around when you walk. Is there something specific that you're looking for?

Re: Session 2b: Unlikely Allies

The staff is gnarled and has spots of rot, but no inscriptions. It functions as a 10 ft. pole (Carry 2, +1D Scout tests).

Re: Session 2b: Unlikely Allies

Drum-Haak is slain and his lifeless body sinks beneath the fetid water. Blood pools up to the surface, swirling red and black. END TURN 5 2 Turns to Rewards As I recall, torches are burning out on even numbers, so 2 torches get used up. Don't forget to mark a passed Fighter test for Ulrich. What do ...
